Former US President Donald Trump's recent support for cryptocurrencies may be causing some Republicans to have a more positive view of him, according to a new poll.

The presumptive Republican U.S. presidential candidate will give a 30-minute presentation at 2 p.m. local time on the final day of the Bitcoin conference, which takes place July 25-27, a spokesperson for the conference told CoinDesk.

Since his public support of the industry at the NFT gala this spring, Trump has been immersed in the topic of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. He then incorporated pro-bitcoin policies into the core Republican platform, in contrast to the Biden administration.

Despite Trump's reservations about the technology during his first term, his upcoming speech is likely to further reinforce his image as a proponent of cryptocurrencies. His appearance at the annual Bitcoin conference was widely expected.

The latest poll shows that Trump's recent support for cryptocurrencies may cause some Republicans to view him more positively.
