XRP, LINK, ETH stand out compared to BTC in plate rotation analysis, while DOGE struggles

Fairlead's 12-week relative wheel GIF shows signs of green shoots in XRP, LINK, ETH.

As interest in cryptocurrencies continues to soar, some traders are looking for which corners of the crypto market are showing signs of recovery. According to the latest 12-week relative wheel GIF analysis from Fairlead Strategies, Ripple (XRP), Chainlink (LINK) tokens, and Ethereum's Ethereum (ETH) could be targets to watch.

A relative wheel graph (RRG) is a visual representation tool used to show the relative strength and momentum of multiple assets (such as altcoins) relative to a benchmark (such as Bitcoin, BTC). The X-axis represents the relative strength of the altcoin relative to BTC, while the Y-axis represents the kinetic energy of the altcoin's performance.

The chart includes four quadrants: leadership, weakness, lag, and improvement. The leading quadrant (top right) indicates strong relative strength and positive momentum, while the weak quadrant (bottom right) indicates strong relative strength but negative momentum. The lagged quadrant (bottom left) represents weak relative strength and negative kinetic energy, while the improved quadrant (top left) represents weak relative strength but positive kinetic energy.

According to Fairlead's chart, XRP moved from the lag quadrant to the improvement quadrant, along with ETH and LINK, showing that the performance of these three currencies, while still low in relative strength relative to BTC, is gradually gaining momentum. This means that XRP, ETH and LINK have the potential to attract capital inflows in the coming weeks, as investors are likely to seek out those corners of the crypto market that are performing solidly.

"We use RRG to assess the cyclicality of major altcoins relative to bitcoin," Fairlead Strategies noted in a note to clients. "Some altcoins have less downside momentum relative to Bitcoin, and Chainlink is now in the improvement quadrant alongside Ether and Ripple."

The positive change in the lagging quadrant to the improving quadrant suggests that capital may flow into these improvement areas in the coming weeks as part of a strategy for investors seeking solid performers in the crypto market.

Momentum traders will often view entering the improvement quadrant as a potential opportunity, indicating that the asset is showing signs of improvement and could outperform other assets in the near future.

On the other hand, Dogecoin (DOGE), Solana (SOL), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are in the weak quadrant and pointing to the left, indicating their continued underperformance and possible imminent move into the lagging quadrant. The remaining major altcoins are already in the lagging quadrant, showing declining and negative momentum relative to BTC.

In summary, according to Fairlead Strategies' 12-week relative wheel GIF analysis, XRP, LINK and ETH are showing potential signs of improvement that could provide new opportunities for investors. However, the outlook for DOGE and some other altcoins seems less optimistic and may continue to underperform relative to BTC.
